In December 2007, Aker Seafoods entered into an agreement to purchase 70 per cent of the shares in Aquafinance SA, sole owner of Viviers de France. In July 2009, Aker Seafoods acquired the remaining 30 per cent of the shares and Aker Seafoods France thereby became a wholly owned subsidiary.

Viviers de France is a leading seafood company in France both within sale and processing of salmon, trout, and whitefish through its processing plants in Boulogne-sur-Mer and Castets.

In addition, Viviers de France is dominant within land based fish farming of trout and turbot. Ninety per cent of the farmed fish is utilized in the company’s own production.

Products: Consumer packed seafood products of samlon, trout and whitefish, mainly produced under private label. In addition, Viviers de France has started up sales of sushi and ready-to-go meals produced under its own label: Côté Phare.
